The 2019 Tempranillo has a rich round nose of blackberry and plum with a touch of vanilla and cedar. It is full bodied on the palate with lots of fruit that lasts into a very satisfying and smooth finish. San Francisco Chronicle Gold Medal
This wine exemplifies the idiom "Tempranillo is the Cabernet of Spain". This robust garnet red wine has intense dark berry and plum aromas, medium tannins, earthy and leather notes with a rich and long vanilla finish. It should age gracefully for another decade.

This wine was cold soaked for a couple days before inoculation and fermented in bins for 10 days until dryness.
Winemaker Notes
My first Tempranillo was made in 1994 and I've made it almost every vintage since then. To me Tempranillo just has it all, color, body, depth of fruit and complexity when aged appropriately. Our Customers over the years have donned it "The Favorite" among many fine wines.
Food Pairing Notes
I love the versatility of Tempranillo! It is my go to wine with Roasted Pork, Carnitas, but is also great with Beef empanadas and so on...
